As some of our youngsters are now maturing and doing well in their new lives, we've added a "Brag Sheet" under the 'Our Dogs' tag.   Feel free to browse and see how the kids are going.

CANE TOAD WARNING !!!

On the evening of the 21st January, our beautiful little Connor took it upon himself to mouth a Cane Toad and despite our efforts to save him we didn't even have time to get him to the vet before he died.    Folks it took 15 minutes for the poison to kill our adored and beautiful boy, so please be careful of your dogs and cane toads.  It is commonly thought that Queensland bred dogs seem to have an inate knowledge of the dangers of these toads, and we have certainly found this to be seemingly so, and have only experienced interest in the vermin from dogs born down south, but don't take any chances.    We had missed a very big one in our nightly patrols to keep the cane toad population down.  Try to keep your yards as cane toad free as possible, and express to your dog that cane toads are off limits.    I certainly wouldn't want any of you to go through the distress of trying to save an adored little dog the way we have just experienced.

Needless to say our nightly patrols have become much more stringent searches.

Litter Births

Flossy produced four beautiful boys who are now running around and happily playing on the lawn in the shade.

Stormy's kids have had their first innoculations, are as tought as titties and will be going to their new homes within a fortnight.

Matings in Progress - 2009

Zena has mated with Connor and is hopefully carrying a little Connor with the loss of our beautiful boy when he mouthed a cane toad recently.

Lilly and Benson have completed their honeymoon and we look forward to a litter early March.

Daisy and Benson are now honeymooning.

Reba is teaching young Duke how to be a wonderful lover and we hope to mate them very soon.

Ebony is getting to know Jack in readiness for a mating.

March is going to be a busy month.

Comings and Goings

Clarelly Bad Moon Rising  (Rev)

As rev is still being campaigned down south until later in the year, we haven't had the pleasure of his company yet.  However, from the descriptions and stories Jan Kelly gives in our conversations, young Rev will fit into our household 'like a glove'.

With his superb parents and Winjax derivatives, we're probably very biased about this little boy, but we believe justifiably so.

Along the path of our involvement with breeding and showing, we have had the pleasure of coming into contact with breeders who are not only wonderfully discerning in their endeavours, but also fabulous people like Jan Kelly and Lyn Renn and we thank them sincerely for their trust and the wonderful opportunities they have afforded us.
